How To Make A Great Craft Paper Fort Building Fun With Kids

Need some craft paper? Or maybe you want to channel your inner kid and make some crafts with your kids? Or perhaps you just want to build a paper fort with your kid? Whatever the case may be, here’s how to make a great craft paper fort. Even if you’re not into making crafts, building a paper fort may be the perfect thing for you! Here are some craft paper fort building tips so you can make the most of your time. However, you can also check out fort building kits for kids on GIGI Bloks and build your fort with the kit to save time.

Plan Your Paper Fort Building Before You Start

Before you start making the paper strong and solid, it’s important to know what will go in your paper fort. Will you need a door? Do you want to stop at one floor or go all the way to the top? Or maybe you just want to use three sheets of paper and be done with it? This is where planning comes into play. First, decide what materials you’ll need for your project: paper, glue, pins, tape (to hold things together), scissors, and/or any other tools that might be needed. Then figure out how long it should take for you to complete your project based on materials and number of people working on it. Next, find out if there are any tools that might be helpful for your project; for example, if there’s a ruler or measuring tape nearby that could help you when cutting out shapes like circles and squares from a sheet of paper.

Choose A Theme For Your Paper Fort Building

When you’re building a paper fort, the first thing you should do is choose a theme. You can make anything from a pirate ship to an army base. There are a lot of options. If you’re not sure what you want to build, here are some ideas:

  • Build a castle
  • Build something with space for your kids to go inside (this could be a spaceship or another type of structure)
  • Build something that can fit multiple people (such as an airplane)
  • Build something with lots of windows  Once you decide on your theme, it’s time to get started!

Here’s how to build the perfect craft paper fort:

1) Start by gathering all the materials needed for your project: scissors, tape, glue stick and pen, ruler…

2) Cut out pieces of craft paper that are twice as long as they are wide

3) Tape one side of each piece together at a 90-degree angle and then tape the other side together.

4) Fold in half and then fold it again in half so that you have 2 layers

5) Cut a hole in the top layer so that you can put your head through it

6) Glue the bottom layer onto the top layer so that they’re connected at all the edges

7) Add some embellishment – paint lines around the outside or add shapes or badges. The possibilities are endless!

Keep the kids entertained

If you’re trying to keep the kids entertained, make sure you have a variety of different colored paper available. These will allow kids to layer their paper to create whatever they want.

In this way, it’s easy for them to get creative with their craft paper fort. Another idea is to use stickers and stencils.

These are a great way for kids to build a unique design on the outside of their paper fort. Also, if they’re building with your kids, then make sure you have lots of stickers and stencils on hand! There are so many fun ones out there; you can find them in just about any store that sells craft supplies or even online.

Make it an activity for your family

Depending on the age of your kids, you may want to consider making this an activity for them. If your kids are young, make it a game or competition. If they’re older, make it a challenge where everyone is competing against each other to see who can build the tallest/thinnest/strongest fort. Whoever builds the best one gets something special like ice cream or popsicles!

Make it a game for the kids

Playing a game with your kid and building a paper fort is the perfect way to spend time together. It’s fun, it gets them excited, and they learn something too! They’ll love following the directions and taking turns building the fort. When you’re making crafts with your kids, try to make it a game for them.

Add some sensory fun

Sensory fun is a great way to make your craft project go more smoothly. For example, try adding some food coloring to the paper so that it’s fun and colorful. Or maybe you want to use glitter or confetti.

You could also use some googly eyes, pipe cleaners, or cotton balls for pretend play. The key is just making sure that you’re having fun when you’re building the craft!

Building a paper fort is a great way to keep the kids entertained over the summer. Just be sure that you plan ahead, find a theme for your paper fort building and keep them entertained. You can even make it an activity for your family. And be sure to add some sensory fun throughout the process to make it extra fun!
